Benjamin Yu, MD PhD

Benjamin Yu

Head of Platform

Benjamin Yu, MD, PhD is a physician-scientist, technology executive, and entrepreneur who has helped build durable businesses from idea stage to multimillion-dollar scale. At companies including Interpreta and Humetrix, he worked alongside founders, engineers, clinicians, and operators on data-intensive products spanning population-scale machine learning, generative AI, mobile platforms, data architecture, algorithms, customer deployment, and company operations.

Background

Ben obtained his M.D., Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. In his academic career, he developed cutting-edge research programs from the ground up at UC San Diego, secured funding from the Gates Foundation, NIH, CIRM, and others, helped build exceptional multidisciplinary teams, and led stem research programs from inception through execution.

Will Hail

Will Hail

Head of Software

William Hail is a biomedical engineer and software developer who has worked with Nuoli to build the backend infrastructure, MCP suite, and tools supporting manufacturing, engineering design, and bioinformatics applications. His technical work spans CUDA and GPU-accelerated computing, 3D model mapping and simulation, backend systems, and computational workflows designed to support AI-driven products.                                                                             

Background

Will is a graduate of the University of Miami. He also has experience in engineering, medical devices, and neurotechnology, including brain implants, neural interfaces and neuromodulation at the University of Miami and University of Minnesota.

Xiaoxuan Dang

Xiaoxuan Dang

Head of Data

Xiaoxuan Dang is a data engineer with a background spanning biomedical research, bioengineering, and computer science. She is building the data foundation and infrastructure that supports the company’s AI-driven products. Prior to Nuoli, she worked at Amazon as a Data Engineering Intern on cloud-based data systems and data engineering technologies. Her technical interests include data engineering, machine learning, generative AI, and building reliable data systems that can turn complex information into useful products.  

Background

Xiaoxuan also has had experience in conducting cancer research at the University of Michigan and holds a Master’s degree in Bioengineering and a Master of Computer and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania.
